The current class timetable is as follows: Tuesday 9.30am - Bootcamp
This is a gym- based circuits class with different stations around the gym, including lots of cardio for general fitness, specific core and ab exercises, as well as working all the main muscle groups with different resistance exercises. There are beginner modifications for every exercise in the class, and the principle is very much to work within your own ability and at your own pace.
I run regular weekday morning fitness classes in our gym in Swords, catering to all ages and fitness levels. We have a fully equipped gym, as well as a studio and access to an outdoor astro area.
Classes are always varied, sociable and fun, and a great way to meet new friends as well as improving your fitness! We also hold regular social evenings and coffee mornings, sign up for the odd 5k or 10k race together and generally encourage and support each other with our goals - both in and out of the gym!
Thurday 9.30am - HIIT and yoga
High intensity interval training helps you burn more calories in a shorter amount of time, and also elevates your metabolic rate for longer after you finish the class, meaning that you will carry on burning calories faster even after you stop exercising. Because it is short, high intensity exercise, there is plenty of time at the end of the HIIT session for some long, relaxing yoga stretches to bring the heart rate back down and focus on an often neglected area of fitness - mobility and flexibility.
You don’t have to sign up to a course of classes, and if you’d like to come along and try a class out or meet us, drop-in members are always welcome! Alternatively, you have the option of signing up in advance for two classes for the week, or signing up for a course of two classes per week for the month.
